Our Mission:

Keeping with its commitment to work for the upliftment of the society, the mission of Imaa Bishnupriya Manipuri (A Social Organisation) is set to promote the social- political and economic justice and to promote cultural identity of the marginalized section of the society specially of the Bishnupriya Manipuris. The mission is to be implemented through education, knowledge-development activities and services that uphold individual potentialities and leadership for evidence-based social welfare activities.

Objectives of the Society:

• To take up steps for Bishnupriya Manipuri Social Awareness, Protection of Community against all forces of antisocial elements.
• To establish social bond, Humanitarian activities through various programmes.
• To encourage exchange & meeting among various sections of the people to promote voluntary activities for developing national integration, communal harmony.
• To bring about harmony among the different minor ethnic groups of the North-East India.
• To promote peace, prosperity & Innovation through various activities.
• To protect bio-diversity & environment awareness programmers with an aim to achieve sustainable development.
• To protect environment and eco-balance of forestation, wild life conservation and other related activities.
• To promote health and family welfare through awareness and provision of safe drinking water, sanitation, nutrition and organizing health care camps like eye camps, mass awareness on treatment of leprosy, woman education, family planning programs, mass awareness on AIDS/HIV/, STD and other contagious and epidemic diseases.
• To create awareness and education of the people about ill-effects of tobacco, alcoholism and drug abuse and to rehabilitate the addicts.
• To publish books, magazines, biographies folders, etc. to preserve the evidences.
• To strengthen rural economy through rural technology transfer in the field of cottage & small scale industries; diary, fishery, horticulture, floriculture, sericulture, livestock, weaving and other related rural development programs.
• To preserve & develop cultural heritage of Bishnupriya Manipuri communities in general & promote folk art, culture, in particular & to raise awareness on different glorious features of Bishnupriya Manipuri people.
• To promote work culture through awareness generation programs, campaigns & training etc. in all social fronts.
• To encourage self-employment through career counseling and training for educated youths, information transfer, entrepreneurship, skill formation etc.
